The Four Pillars of Decent Work
The idea of Decent Work is captured in the following four ‘pillars’:
These four strategic objectives are inseparable, interrelated and mutually supportive. The failure to promote any one of them would harm progress towards the others. Gender equality and non-discrimination are considered as cross-cutting issues in all four objectives (pillars).
